The Los Angeles firefighter was blown around by high wind as he was lowered to the victim.

Despite gusty winds, a rescue technician was lowered into raging water Wednesday afternoon to save a man.

Video showed the Los Angeles firefighter being blown around as he is makes his way down to the victim who was holding onto a wall.

The operation occurred in the Boyle Heights area after a record-breaking 2.7 inches of rain fell in 24 hours, Fox11 reported.

The firefighter signals the helicopter pilot as he attempts to get to the stranded man. Once in reach, he grabs ahold of him and quickly slips a harness on.

The two were hoisted up to dry land where the victim was transported to a hospital.
